Gwendolyn Fryer was born in Paris, France in 1957.  As a child, she traveled throughout Europe and North Africa in conjunction with her father’s discoveries as a petroleum geophysicist.  She spent most of her formative years in Tripoli, Libya where she experienced the Six-Day War in 1967 and was evacuated to Naples, Italy. She moved to the United States in 1973.

Her artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries, museums, and cultural centers throughout the United States, Europe, and North Africa.
